Team

Anna Ferrer, PhD
Project Manager

Anna Ferrer holds a PhD in Developmental Biology by the University of Freiburg and a MSc in Human Assisted Reproduction by the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. Her research career revolved around her interest in early mammalian development and spanned over two decades both in academia (University of Konstanz, Sloan Kettering Institute) and private IVF clinics (Eugin) where she also worked as a clinical embryologist.

Her role in bridging the gap between basic research and clinical application sparked her interest in innovation. At Lumiris, she ensures that everything gets efficiently and effectively executed.

Albert Parra, PhD
Optical physicist and data specialist

Albert Parra is an experimental physicist specialized in photonics, optomechanics and advanced imaging technologies. His career integrates academic research with industrial development, where he has designed, built, and optimized optical systems and developed algorithms for image processing and data analysis across a wide range of applications.

At Lumiris, he leads the development and implementation of the hyperspectral imaging and data-analysis pipeline, bridging optical engineering with machine learning to create next-generation diagnostic imaging tools for biomedical and clinical applications.

Ot Massafret, PhD
Embryologist

Ot Massafret holds a MSC in Human Assisted Reproduction and a PhD in Cell Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where he studied the pluripotency potential of human embryonic stem cells derived from single blastomeres.

His research career has been focused on understanding the developmental potential of embryonic stem cells and, recently, the early mammalian embryo. Now at Lumiris he leads the embryology team.

Irene Oliver, PhD
Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Irene Oliver graduated in Human Biology at Pompeu Fabra University (specialty in Clinical Analysis Laboratory) and holds a PhD in Cellular Biology from the University of Barcelona. Almost 20 years of dedication to scientific research, in the field of cell therapy, regenerative medicine and immunotherapy.
